Our ‘Green Team’ is a select committee of internal staff members who meet on a quarterly basis. The ‘Green Team’ are from frontline staff to management level who have a strong drive to reduce our impact on the environment and introduce initiatives not just for our workplace but also for our homes. The ‘Green Team’ have introduced initiatives recently to use only environmentally friendly chemicals including the sourcing of eco-labelling manufacturers, minimising use of printing paper by going electronic, setting up purchasing policies to identify more sustainable alternatives and promoting recycling of reusable items.
Vital Pulse strive to use over 90% of Chemicals that are GECA Certified which is environmentally and human friendly.
GECA’s standards are more rigorous than any other Australian ecolabelling program for commercial cleaning products and are extremely difficult to achieve. The program not only takes into account product factors, such as the ingredients used, level of biodegradability, minimal and recyclable packaging, and increased concentration and product performance but also includes the health impacts that the products can have on the user as well as the conditions that the products are manufactured under.
100% of Vital Pulse supplies are delivered nationally only using ‘Carbon Neutral Delivery’ through Transdirect to offset all emissions from their courier and freight service partners. This means all Vital Pulse deliveries will help reduce our carbon footprint impacting our environment.
Vital Pulse’ Safety Management System known as Safety Champion was implemented to streamline all our staff reporting and access to safety policies and procedures. This allowed our business to go 100% paperless, so no printing and a reduction in purchase of printing paper.
